Apple Pi Robotics will host the second annual “Spooktacular” Cruise In at Moroso Performance Products in Guilford on October 26th. Moroso Performance Products is one of the premier manufacturers of racing and street performance car parts. They are a generous supporter of Apple Pi Robotics and have allowed our organization to use their site for this Halloween themed event.
Apple Pi Robotics newly published video revisits the presentation of Valerie Scott, NASA scientist and Guilford H.S. alumna, who met with Apple Pi students and mentors 4 days prior to the blast off of the most recent NASA Mars Rover “Curiosity”. “Curiosity” has been exploring the surface of Mars since its landing in August of 2012.

The #1 seeded alliance of Apple Pi (2067), Mechanical Mayhem (1519) and the Cyber Knights (195) have won the New England District Regional for 2015. The regional held at WPI in Worcester, MA included the 60 highest ranked teams in the New England District and featured some record breaking performances. In the last match of the finals the combination of Mechanical Mayhem, the Cyber Knights and Apple Pi put up a score of 256 points, the highest alliance score recorded in the U.S. during all regional matches. Congratulations to all teams in the New England District for continually “raising the bar” in events throughout the 2015 season. Now on to St. Louis for the World Championships!
Apple Pi Robotics will host the movie “Ender’s Game” at the Guilford Library on Friday, April 17th from 2:30 – 5pm. Snacks served and Apple Pi students will be on hand to talk about the robotics team.
Cruise Nights sponsored by Apple Pi Robotics. 5PM – 8PM (dusk) June 25, July 9, July 23, August 6 and August 20. Includes antique and unusual cars, barbecued hot dogs and hamburgers, soft drinks, music, and robotics demonstrations and lots of FUN! No better atmosphere for a relaxing Cruise Night than the grassy fields in back of the Little Red Barn at Bishops Orchard right off Route 1 in Guilford, CT. Come enjoy some of the best music from the 50′s, 60′s and 70′s, have a barbecued burger and watch the sun go down while “talking cars”. The Apple Pi robot will be on hand for demonstrations.
